12/2014: UNIGLAS® | FACADE Workshop in Verden

Together with the UNIGLAS we held an architects and processors workshop as kick-off event concerning UNIGLAS® | FAÇADE in Verden on 4/12/2014.

In this workshop in the “Niedersachsenhalle” Hanspeter Petschenig, who has accompanied and co-developed the product from the very beginning, presented the UNIGLAS® | FAÇADE Timber-Glass-Composites (TGC) in detail. Visiting the Northern German Center for Sustainable Construction with the integrated UNIGLAS® | FAÇADE in Verden was also part of the programme for about 50 processors and architects.

The Timber-Glass-Composites combine the best characteristics of the two materials glass and timber concerning naturalness, energy efficiency and structural flexibility. This allows structural glazing facades to be made in an easy-to-assemble and a more environmentally friendly timber structure. In this way the CO2 footprint of the façade solution is reduced by up to 43% compared to conventionally all-glass facades. At the same time the TGC elements offer heat insulation of Ucw up to 0,69 W/m2K. The very best of sustainable building will be reached here.
